Research and science

As University institution we concentrate on State of the Art Medicine and Research. We treat our patients according to the newest methods which we partly develop ourselves and which we continuously evaluate and improve.

In our research we strive continuously to shift the limits of therapeutic and diagnostic options to the better for our patients. We foster research in interdisciplinary teams inside the Charité and in National and International Cooperations with other institutions. We engage in rapid translation of our research results into clinical practice for the benefit of our patients.

The patient is the center

High performance medicine is important for us.  However, kind words, a warm atmosphere and an empathic culture are equally important fort he well-being of our patients. Therefore, the most important orientation point in our daily work is the patient. Our patients must feel comfortable and get the best treatment in any respect. All doctors, nurses  and staff in our Department live up to this principle.
